The Bible Course
This course will increase your confidence, equip you to read the Bible better and help you to see its relevance to daily life. Interested? Caroline Newbold is running an online version of the Bible Society Bible Course on Thursday evenings at 8pm for 9 weeks, starting 19th May. This course is especially suitable for people who are not already in a Connect group and great if you are new to the church or the Christian faith, but anyone is welcome! Please contact caroline@ststephens-ealing.org by Sunday15th May if you would like be part of this group.
Queen's Platinum Jubilee Weekend
We have a lunch and quiz evening planned for Friday 3rd June, and a Cake competition and sale on Sunday 5th June. We also want to make our own bunting to decorate the building. So click here for more info and chance to participate/sign up!
Ruth Robinson
Our new curate Ruth will be ordained at St Paul’s Cathedral on Saturday 2nd July at 3pm.  We have some tickets for the service so if you would like to go please let Steve Newbold know as soon as possible.  Ruth’s first Sunday with us will be Sunday 3rd July and we will have a church lunch for us all so that we can meet the Robinson family.
Curates House
In preparation for the arrival of the Robinson family we will be having some decorating done in the curates house in Drayton Gardens.  After that we need some help on Sat 11th  or 12th June to clean the house (kitchen, bathroom, windows etc) and to tidy the garden.  Please contact Caroline Newbold (caroline@ststephens-ealing.org) if you can offer an hour or two.
New Wine
Fancy a day out at New Wine this summer – there are two separate weeks to choose from?  Day tickets can now be bought via the New Wine website here.  Steve and Caroline will be there on Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th if you want to join them then.

Prayer for the Week
Risen Christ,
your wounds declare your love for the world
and the wonder of your risen life:
give us compassion and courage
to risk ourselves for those we serve,
to the glory of God the Father. Amen.
