Vicar's Update

Monday 18th October 2021

If you were with us on Sunday you will have heard Caroline Newbold speak about trusting God's provision for our everyday lives.  We also heard from Julie Couchman-Boor from Tearfund about how they are working to counter the effects of climate change in many parts of the  world.  If you missed being with us you can catch up on our You Tube Channel here.

It was good to have reintroduced opportunities for Prayer Ministry to our Sunday services.  A reminder that for now it will be available during the time of Holy Communion on the third Sunday of each month at the 9am service and the second and fourth Sunday of each month at the 10.30am service.

Our children’s Light Party is on Sunday 31st October from 5.00 - 7.00 pm for all those aged 5-11.  This is a Christian alternative to Halloween and enables us to celebrate the light and love of Jesus in a fun way.  Please sign up on our website here - places must be booked in advance.

Thank you to those who have already signed up to join our Big Clean and Odd job morning on Saturday 30th October from 9.30am to 12noon.   There’s still lots of space for others to help out even if just for a short time.  Please let Caroline Jamieson (carolinejamieson@ststephens-ealing.org) know if you can come along – volunteers of all ages and abilities will be very welcome!

The advertisement for a new Worship Pastor is still out – please do spread the word with any contacts you have and on social media.

Finally, a reminder to wear warm clothing to church and also bring a re-useable cup for the Café.

With my love and prayers

Steve
