Vicar's update 20th SeptemberSteve Newbold1

It was good to see more people at Church yesterday and to continue to enjoy our Café and children’s work.   At our services I spoke from James 2 about how we are all called to live out our faith through practical acts of service and be blessing to those around us.  If you want to get involved in a particular way do speak to Caroline or myself.  You can see the service here

Thank you to those who helped with the Litter Pick yesterday and to Andrew Dixon for organising.  The Big Green fair is on Saturday (25th) 11-3pm – do pop in at some point.  More details or flyers from Sue Charlton (8997 8236) or Enid Barron (8997 1958)

Next Sunday (26th) is the Ealing Half Marathon.  There will be no morning services (or a livestreamed service) because roads around the church are closed off, instead there will be an evening Communion Service at 6pm.  During the morning the UFO Steel band will be playing outside of the Church and coffee & tea will be available as the runners go past between 9.15am and 10.30am – do come along and support our church members who are running including Jason Johnson, Lizzie Rainbow Rogers and Katie Grovners.

This week:

  • Morning Prayer will be said in church on Monday and Friday at 9am (it remains on Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays)
  • Shining Stars our mid-week Parent/Carer Toddler Group is on Tuesday at 10am.
  • Mid-week Communion will be celebrated in church on Wednesday at 10am.

Some dates for your diary:
Sunday 3rd October Harvest Services with collection of food gifts and money for Ealing Foodbank
Sunday 10th October Climate Sunday with guest speaker Revd Dave Bookless
Note the planned Big Clean and Odd Job Saturday morning has been postponed but will be rearranged

Finally do remember to bring a reusable coffee mug with you each Sunday – we want to limit our use of disposable cups to visitors.

With my love and prayers

Steve
