Weekly Update - stamps

Help Needed
We are about to rent out the curates house in Drayton Gardens.  We need some help to tidy the garden (mainly lawn and shrubs being cut and tidied) before the new tenants move in on 25th September.  It’s probably no more than a couple of hours work for a couple of people. Offers to Steve Newbold asap please.

Cafe
Cafe resumes this week, hot drinks and water will be available from 10am but bring your own reusable cup.  We will not be offering squash or biscuits for the time being, please bring your own snacks if required!

Shining Stars
This week we were delighted to re-opened our stay-and-play toddler group, Shining Stars. It was lovely to welcome nine children and their grown ups to play and chat. Shining Stars runs on Tuesdays during term time from 10-11:30am for children aged 0-4 years and their parents or carers. Sessions include time and space to play and chat, do a craft, hear a Bible story and join in with lots of action nursery rhymes. No need to book, just turn up. More information is available on our website or speak to our Children's Worker, Morgen Edwards.

Second-hand Christian books
This Sunday (12th) there will be a display of second-hand Christian children's books at cafe time - help yourself to any your family might make use of - there's no cost, just make a donation.

Please find attached the latest shopping list. They would appreciate any help and support restocking our warehouse after the summer school holidays. You can find the most needed items on the attachment. Currently they are well stocked on just a few items: baked beans, meat, soup and fruit.

Litter Pick
As part of “The Great Big Green Week” 19 – 26 September  we at St Stephen’s are invited to spend about an hour tidying up somewhere near our homes.  The main time to collect local litter, in groups, will be on Sunday 19th September between 3 and 4 pm.   Although anytime more convenient to you would be just as good!  In order that we don’t all pick the same roads please could you let Andrew Dixon (adlightad3@gmail.com) know that you would like to take part and he will help form some groups and provide further guidance.
