Weekly Update - stamps

Sunday 5th September
We look forward to welcoming more people back as our services return to the usual times of 9am and 10.30am on Sunday 5th September.  The first 10.30am service will be for all ages and will be followed by a 'bring-your-own' picnic for both congregations at 12noon in Cleveland Park - do join us.  We plan to reintroduce our Café from Sunday 12th September.
 
Big Green Week and Fair

Saturday 25th September
We are taking part in the National Week of Events celebrating action on Climate Change at St. Stephen's.

On Sunday 19th from 3pm Andrew Dixon is running a Litter Pick Challenge. Children are welcome too (parent or carer must accompany them) as well as everyone else.

A Eco Trail/Quiz will be available through the week and the Fair will be on 25th September will be from 11am-3pm. Leaflets, posters and details will be available nearer the time.

Invitations to our MPs and Local Councillors have been sent and we hope some will be able to come so we can talk to them about Borough and Government plans to tackle the Climate Crisis. Lots of activities and crafts to take part in for people of all ages.

Offers to help with refreshments, crafts and games or set up from 9 am on the day would be much appreciated!

Church Garden Team

Do you enjoy a bit of gardening? Are you keen to attract wildlife to our church garden, or like to know what we already have? We are planning regular get-togethers from 11th September, but usually thereafter on the first Saturday of each month from 10am - 12 noon. No previous gardening experience needed. Jobs of all sorts for young and older, followed by a time to chat and enjoy refreshments. Come and stay for as long as you can to find out more. Sam Sanya's Licensing

Sam will be licensed on Monday 6th September at 7:30pm at St John's, Mattock Lane. You can either attend in person or watch the livestream on their YouTube channel. If you would like to attend in person please RSVP to sam.sanya@stjohnealing.org.uk
 
In our prayers

It is with sadness that we announce that Sanjay Joshi's mother died in India this week. Because of the pandemic Sanjay had been unable to visit her but was able to remain in contact via the internet.  Please keep Sanjay, Ranmi and the family in your prayers.
