Vicar's update 1st March
I hope you have had a good weekend and were able to enjoy the spring sunshine. I hope too that you managed to join us for worship – whether at the children and youth groups or the 11am Livestream.
At our Sunday service we continued to look at the book of Hebrews (Chapter 3) and Sam Sanya told us that Jesus is the Goat! If you want to know what he meant or need to be reminded you can catch up here. We also heard from Liz Cooper who spoke about the challenge of living alone during lockdown and updated us on the situation at St David's Home.
Our monthly Prayer Meeting is this Tuesday (2nd) at 8pm.
Next Sunday, as well as our 11am Livestream we will be holding an online Communion Service at 9am. The joining code is the same as used last month and on Wednesday morning’s but if you need it do ask.
Following on from our Winter Trail we have now set up a Noah’s Ark trail – details are here. You may like to do this with your family as part of your daily exercise.
You may have seen that following the identification of a small number of additional cases of the South African variant in the borough, extra capacity for testing is being put in place. The Council are asking all residents who need to leave home to get tested frequently. The six walk-in centres for asymptomatic testing no longer need an appointment – you can walk in for a test 7 days a week 9am-4:20pm. More details on what is being done are on Ealing’s website here.
This week we have as well as our weekly Sunday 11am Livestreamed service we have:
Morning Prayer on Tuesday and Thursday at 9am
First Tuesday Prayers on Tuesday at 8pm
Holy Communion on Wednesday at 11am
Stations of the Cross on Wednesday at 8pm
Holy Communion on Sunday at 9am
JAM – Children’s Groups on Sunday at 9.30am and 10am
Zoom at Noon – informal catch up from 11.45am
All of these are on Zoom and if you want any of the passcodes, do contact me.
Finally, our next online Quiz Night will be on Friday 12th March – details will be sent out next week.
With my love and prayers
