Vicar's update 7th OctoberSteve Newbold1

Yesterday we celebrated Harvest and brought gifts for the Ealing Foodbank.  If you were not around you can still make a donation – food stuffs to the collection point in the Church Foyer and financial gifts in a Yellow Gift Aid envelope.  Last year, in Ealing we gave away over 11,500 food parcels to those in need so every gift that you and I contribute really does help to make a difference.

This Friday 11th October we are holding a church party - a Rock n Roll night with our own Ash Abbott's live band.  The cost includes a burger and salad bar and dessert but bring your own drinks.  The evening starts at 7.30pm and finishes at 10.30pm.   We have a good turnout but would love more people to come. Click here to reserve your tickets so we know how many to cater for! Or call/text Jane Maffett on 07711 450213. Lots of good 50's/60's/70's music.

Unfortunately, the Church Big Clean planned for Saturday (12th) has had to be postponed – we will let you know of a new date as soon as we can.

As well as our usual services, next Sunday we have our termly Welcome Tea for those who have joined the church recently.  If you haven’t yet been to a Welcome Tea and would like to come, please let Caroline Newbold know by return.

Finally we urgently need some help on on a Sunday morning after the 10.30am service to help pack away the tables and chairs used in the hall for our Cool Christians groups .   It takes 10 to 15mins and if we could get four new folk to help that would be just one person a month.  Might there be a few dads that could help out and ease the pressure on our Duty Wardens.  If you are able to help can you let me know asap.

Have a great week

Steve
