Vicar's update 30th SeptemberSteve Newbold1

Prayer is at the heart of all that we do and our monthly Prayer Meeting is tomorrow (Tuesday 1st) at 8pm – can you join us for an hour as we pray for this church and its mission?

Next Sunday (6th) is our Harvest Festival.  We will be collecting donations for the Ealing Foodbank.  Please bring any of the food items listed on their website here  and on the poster in the Church Centre (no fresh food please) and/or make a financial contribution using a Yellow Gift Aid envelope if possible.  Traditional Worship is at 9am and All Age Worship at 10.30am.

Open to God is also on Sunday (6th) at 6.30pm.  This term we will be looking at a short series on sharing our faith with teaching by J John. As usual there will be sung worship, teaching and ministry.

We would love more people to join us at New Wine next summer (Week 1: 25 – 1 August 2020).  There is currently a Flash Sale which ends at midnight tonight;  book with a deposit of just £15 per ticket and have until 2 December to pay in full at the reduced rate.   New Wine is where we as a church spend quality time together, sharing food, supporting each other and having fun!  It’s a place where many from St Stephen’s have strengthened their faith & their friendships and has been a really significant experience for many, particularly our children and young people. Why not join us in 2020?

On Friday 11th October we are holding a church party - a Rock n Roll night with a live band a food.  Click here to reserve your tickets - or buy them at church on Sunday. Family tickets available.

On Saturday 12th October we are holding a clean-up afternoon from 1pm-4.30pm.  Can you come along for an hour or more to help us with some deep cleaning and other odd jobs?    Finally, the Churchwardens want to say a huge thank you to those who took away the old chairs last week - thank you.

Have a good week.

Steve
