Vicar's update 1st AprilSteve Newbold 2017 web2

We had wonderful Mothering Sunday Services yesterday and it was particularly good to have our children and young people take a leading role at our All Age Worship. Thank you to all who took part and helped with the cake sale afterwards, which raised almost £165 for the Ealing Soup Kitchen.
This week we are welcoming local schools to learn more about the Easter story at Experience Easter – please pray for the St Stephen’s team as they deliver this.  Our monthly Prayer Meeting is on Tuesday evening at 8pm and we will be using the Experience Easter installations for part of the evening – do come and join us as we pray together.
We have a Women’s Breakfast coming up on Saturday 13th April when Rachael and Sam Sanya will be sharing something of their journey – do sign up if you would like to come.
There are also sign up lists for those who wish to come to the Maundy Thursday Meal and Communion and also if you would like to donate money towards flowers at Easter.
Our Annual Church Meeting is only a few weeks away on Sunday 28th April at 6.30pm.  You can start to nominate people from this coming Sunday and we need to elect one new Churchwarden (Geoff Thomas has indicated his intention to step down from the role) and three new members to the Parochial Church Council.
On Sunday our morning services are as usual and there will be children and youth groups at the 10.30am service.  At 6.30pm we have Open to God – a time for seeking God’s presence in worship and prayer.

Have a good week.
