Vicar's update 6th AugustSteve Newbold 2017 web2

I hope you are enjoying the summer.  Although many church activities have stopped during August, our life of Sunday worship and mid-week prayer continues as usual.  If you are around tomorrow (Tuesday), our monthly Prayer Meeting is at 8pm - come and join us as we prayer for our church and its mission.
Over 40 of us had a great week at New Wine and came back encouraged and excited by all that God is doing in his church.  Next summer New Wine moves to its new location in Peterborough and as well as lots of space for camping the new site has over 1,000 hotel rooms within easy access.  Do consider coming whether you are camping or staying off site - as usual we will be going for the first week (27 July - 3 Aug 2019).
During August we are looking at the Lord’s Prayer.  The next 3 Sundays will be All Age Services at 10.30am with appropriate teaching – this coming Sunday – ‘give us this day our daily bread.’

Our former curate Ajay More will be licensed as Associate Vicar at St John’s in Harrow on Sunday 16th September at 6.30pm.  He would like us to attend if we can and a sign up list is available so that he can know how many to expect.

Whether you have been or are going away, or are just staying in London I do hope that you will all find time for rest and recreation before the busyness of the autumn season kicks in.

Have a good week.
