Vicar's update 22nd AprilSteve Newbold 2017 web2

This coming Sunday, as well as our usual morning services at 9am and 10.30am, we have our Annual Church Meeting at 6.30pm.  I do hope that you will come along if you can.  This year I will be making an important statement about our buildings plans – come along to hear more.  At the meeting we will also elect our senior lay leaders - Churchwardens and Church Council Members.  Although Rosemary Beardow is stepping down as one of our two Churchwardens, Geoff Thomas is seeking re-election and Caroline Jamieson has been nominated to serve.     Copies of all the relevant documents for the meeting are available on line here - please download them to your tablet, phone or laptop and bring them to the meeting.  The meeting lasts about an hour and a half and will be followed by cheese and wine.
The new Bishop of London, Sarah Mullally will be installed at St Paul’s Cathedral on Saturday 12 May 2018 from 2pm.  Space is limited but a ballot is being held to enable people from across the churches in London to attend.  If you are interested in entering the ballot please let me know by return and I will tell you how you can enter.
Thank you to those who have already responded to my invitation to preach in August.  Would you like to have a go at a ‘standard’ service or an 'all age talk' at either at 9am or 10.30am.  Do have a word with me – training and support will be provided.
Have a good week.
