Vicar's update 24th October
Thank you to all those who turned out on Saturday to help with the Big Clean, we really appreciate your hard work!
Unfortunately we have had to postpone the planned Shared Lunch planned for this coming Sunday as so many people are unable to come. We will rearrange it for some time in the New Year and this time will avoid school holidays!
We could do with a few more volunteers to help with transport on a Sunday morning. Some of our older folk need bringing to and from church for either the 9am or 10.30am service – could you help on a regular or occasional basis? If so, please do contact Jane Devereux direct (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Exciting news - our friends on The Grove Missional Community are planning to run Alpha for residents on Gurnell Grove. They would love some help with cooking meals 12 people. Might you be able to help – see the Meal Train link for further details and to offer help
On Saturday 4th November we are holding a drop in Quiet Morning from 10:00am-12:30pm. Just turn up on the day or for more information speak to Rosemary Beardow or Enid Barron.
Finally there should be no excuse for any of us being late for church this Sunday as we all get an extra hours sleep when the clocks go back one hour on Saturday night - enjoy!
Have a great week
