Vicar's update 17th JulySteve4to5-3244373775-O

Those of us who went to New Wine had a great time. Although the weather was mixed the fellowship, teaching and worship were all excellent and we came away having encountered God in fresh ways.  During this the second week of New Wine you can catch the main morning and evening celebration talks live here or listen to a range of seminars on New Wine Radio (schedule here).  Next year’s dates are 28th July to 4th August 2018 – why not put them in your diary and come along too?

On Sunday we learnt a beautiful new (to us) song at our 10.30am service – God I look to you.  We will be using this during August and if you want to familiarise yourself with it you can listen to it here.  Do remember that this is a big band version so will sound a bit different to the way we will sing it.
Our monthly Church Prayer Meeting is tomorrow - Tuesday 1st at 8pm when we will be praying for the Holiday Club, Alpha and other church events.  Can you join us for an hour?
Next Sunday (6th August) we continue our theme of thinking about the Kingdom of God with our usual 9am Traditional Service and All Age Worship at 10.30am.  We will be looking at the feeding of the 5,000 in Matthew 14.
There have already been a good number of bookings for Polar Explorers, our children’s Holiday Club at the end of August.  Please continue to pass on details to friends and neighbours – there are lots of leaflets that you can take, and if you would like your own children to come please book in as soon as possible.

Have a good week.
With my love
