Vicar's update 9th MaySteve4to5-3244373775-O

Thank you to all who helped on Sunday to give the Dand family such a good send off.  We enjoyed great services and a lovely lunch – thank you to all who brought food.  I am especially grateful to our Churchwardens Geoff and Rosemary and their team of helpers who worked so hard moving furniture, working in the kitchen and clearing up – you did a great job, thank you all.

This coming Sunday we mark the beginning of Christian Aid Week.  Our speaker at both morning services is Jill Coombe the London Regional Coordinator for Christian Aid.  As well as our usual services you can stay for a light lunch and buy books, cakes and plants from 12noon – all proceeds will go to the work of Christian Aid. Next week, you can help to collect money at Ealing Broadway, or house to house –simply sign up at Church.  There are other ways to get involved too – come along to find out more.
As we approach the General Election we are bombarded with news and political opinion.  Our Archbishops have issued a Pastoral Letter to help us make a Christian and prayerful response as we vote – a copy is attached for you to read.

Have you booked or are still thinking about coming to New Wine - we'd so love you to come.  The Bible Society are looking for volunteers for their Café.  As well as a free place you get meals provided and can attend the main meetings and seminars where possible.  Interested – click here for details.
Have a good week.
