Vicar's update 13th March
Thanks to all who came to help with our Big Clean on Saturday and for Geoff Thomas for organising us all. It was a great team effort – thank you.
We had a good morning yesterday with Canon Tricia Hillas speaking at both services. Do have a listen if you missed her – it was such a helpful talk.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) we are holding a Magic Lantern Evening (this time a show rather than a service). Refreshments will be served from 8pm – the evening is free but there will be a collection for the work of St David’s.
If you might like to be baptised, confirmed or renew your baptism vows when the Bishop visits on 30th April please let me know by return – preparation will start soon.
Over the past few weeks we have been praying for Becky Young and the YWAM Team who were hoping to travel to Algeria. Unfortunately they have been unable to obtain the necessary visas but have now gone to Lebanon to help long term workers with the vast number of refugees in that country.
We are short of helpers for the Winter Night Shelter this coming Sunday (19th) morning 7am – 9am. Can you help – if so please contact Sue Charlton ( firstname.lastname@example.org) asap.
On Sunday afternoon at 3pm we have a concert by a choir, CORO who sing a range of traditional, classical, sacred and secular A Capella music. Free entry with donations to Christian Aid and followed by refreshments. Then at 6.30pm is Open to God with a relaxed time of sung worship, teaching and ministry. Andrew Dand will be speaking on Psalm 139 to help us reflect the areas where God has been at work in our lives.
With my love
