Vicar's update 18th December
I am still buzzing after yesterday's Carol Services. The Church was full for both services and the music, readings and hospitality all made for two wonderful events. Thank you to all who brought guests – it was good to talk to so many visitors after the services. I am grateful to all who helped in any way but want to say a special thank you to James Harvey who has worked so hard to prepare and lead the choir and band.
Our Christmas services are as usual and I hope you will come along:
4.30pm Carols, Nativity and Christingles followed by refreshments
(children are encouraged to come dressed as nativity character)
11.30pm Midnight Communion
10.30am Whole Church Communion lasting no more than 60mins
(please bring one of your new presents to show to us all)
I look forward to seeing you but if you are going away – have a very Happy Christmas and try to find a good local church for worship.
Celia Aldridge’s funeral is this Wednesday (21st) at 2pm. Robert Alwyne’s funeral is on Thursday 5th January at 1pm. Both services are at St Stephen’s and all are invited to attend.
Wishing you a good week.
