Vicar's update 8th November         Steve4to5-3244373775-O

Dear St. Stephen's
Beverley Jackson’s funeral has now been arranged for next Tuesday 15th November.  It will be followed by a Memorial and Thanksgiving Service at St Stephens at 2.30pm to which we are all invited.  After the service there will be refreshments in the Church Centre.

This coming Sunday is Remembrance Sunday when we remember those who have given their lives in war.  Our main act of remembrance will being during the 10.30am service – we will also conclude our sermon series on the book of Ruth.

If you are still to return your financial pledge for 2017, can I ask you to do so this Sunday as after that our Giving Coordinators need to process the completed forms to enable the Church Council to set a budget for 2017.  Every individual pledge really does matter.

Plans for the annual Christmas Bazaar (Saturday 26th November 10.30am - 2.30pm) are well in hand but we still need lots of volunteers to staff stalls, donate goods, make cakes/sweets and invite friends, family and neighbours.  It’s all in aid of a really good cause – the Ealing Foodbank – so please do get involved.  You can find out more and sign up in church this Sunday.

Wishing you a good week.
