Vicar's update 10th October         Steve4to5-3244373775-O

Every year we ask members of St Stephen’s to review their financial commitment to our church.  If you weren’t present yesterday do listen to my sermon here .   Named pledge packs are now available in Church – please do collect yours and prayerfully consider your response before replying.

There is a lot going on this coming weekend (15th/16th).  On Saturday we have the Big Clean at church from 10.30am – 2pm.  This is an opportunity to remove some of the cobwebs and clean the building before the winter.  Any help would be gratefully received – even if only for half an hour.  At 3pm on Saturday there is an opportunity to visit Perivale Woods with our local MP’s to show that we care about the world and it’s environment – more information from Sue Charlton (sacharlton@btinternet.com).

On Sunday evening, instead of our own 6.30pm service we are supporting Dinos Horattides as he is commissioned as a preacher at a special service at St John’s Church, Southall at 6pm.  Open to God takes place as normal at 7.30pm when Stuart Melchor will preach.

On Saturday 22nd October at 7.30pm, The Grove Missional Community will hold a launch service in the Gurnell Community Centre – all are welcome.

The children’s Light Party is coming up on Monday 31st October - do book the date.  We are also looking for willing volunteers to join our Christmas choir – rehearsals start on 3rd November, details from James Harvey (jharvey@jamesharveyassociates.co.uk).

Wishing you a good week.
