Vicar's update 12th September         Steve4to5-3244373775-O

It was so lovely to be part of St Stephen’s on Sunday.  We welcomed Ash Abbott our new Worship Minister who lead our sung worship so sensitively at 10.30.  I’m looking forward to all that he will bring to help us in the future.  As Ash settles in to the area he would love to get to know people a bit better so do feel free to invite him round for a coffee or a meal.  We also welcomed our friends from The Grove and we were able to pray with them as they continue the exciting journey of planting a missional community.

Next Sunday we look forward to baptising 8 people at our 10.30 service – come and support them if you possibly can – adult baptisms are always special.  We are expecting a large crowd so do arrive in good time.  Do pray for the candidates,
George Dunkley
Alice Hau
Selina Joshi
Cai Lianfang
Rose Ling Ying
Lilie-Ann Johnson
Iona Johnson
Genevieve Morrish-Griffin
and Hasmik Khosravians who is renewing her baptism promises.

The following Sunday (25th) is the Ealing Half Marathon.  We need volunteers to staff our Community Café from 9am – can you help out?  There are no morning services but we all come together for Café Church with children’s groups at 4.30pm.  For this we need some homemade cakes – again can you help, do let me know.  If you are running in the Ealing Half, let me know too and we can look out for you on the day.

On Sunday 2nd October we celebrate Harvest with collections of food gifts or money for the Foodbank.  Do mark the date and come along.

Wishing you a good week.

With my love

Steve
