Footsteps

Footsteps is our youth group and offers a range of activities for young people of secondary school age.

The Footsteps group on Sunday morning runs in tandem with our 10am morning service :   there are mid week cells, outings, opportunities to take part in Church life, joint events with other Churches and activities based on what our young people tell us they want to do - if we can possibly set them up!

We are currently running :

  • Mid week small groups - where we meet for friendship, support and sharing and to explore the Bible together.
  • First Friday Footsteps - a social and games evening 7.30 - 9.30, sometimes with a film club. This is usually on the first Friday of the month.
  • Fun fundraising events - recently including Slum Slumber, where, over a day and a night, we experienced how 800 million people live. In October 2011 we are organising a Murder Mystery dinner party to raise funds for charity, where we will act out a mystery for our dinner guests to solve.

For many, belonging to the Church is an important part of learning how to live together in a community. Our leaders are a friendly bunch and work together with love, care and patience to help our young people grow in faith.

New members are always very welcome! Contact the Church Office or simply turn up one Sunday!

Our leaders are all parents at St Stephen’s and fully CRB checked. We have a separate Children’s Advocate who oversees our adherence to the church and diocesean Child Protection policy and processes.
